Wichita, Kansas
Wichita has served as a site of a trading center and meeting place since the 1500’s. The first white settlers appeared in the region in between the 1850’s & 1860’s. The city itself was incorporated in 1870 and became the seat of Sedgwick Country. For a short while, Wichita was home to Camp Beecher, an army post. Its initial growth boomed after the Civil War era and again after the two World Wars. World War II brought lots of new jobs into the city in the 1940’s.
Wichita has many events and amusements for your desires including the Wichita Flight Festival, the Wichita Garden show and the Wichita River Festival. For a more cultural outing enjoy Botanica, the Wichita Gardens, Trolley Tour, Edwin Ulrich Museum of Art, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Allen-Lambe House, Great Plains Transporation Museum, Mid America All- Indian Center, Old Cowtown Museum, Plaza of Heroines and the Wichita Art Museum. Also there is the Derby Community Theatre, the Air Capital Barbershop Chorus, the Chamber Music at the Barn and the LineSight Gallery.

A slight concern; She accidentally cut the toenail too short on one paw and did not have any silver nitrate. Not a big deal, vets do this quite often, plus the claw will stop bleeding fairly quick. She made my cat into a CLASSY CAT! :-) more
